Aces are not losing hope

WITH only two games to go, Mpumalanga Black Aces are four points above Jomo Cosmos and believe they have a chance to salvage their Absa Premiership status through the dreaded playoffs.

AmaZayoni still have to play Kaizer Chiefs and Ajax Cape Town away, which will be a difficult task, but left-back Shere Lekgothoane says they have not lost hope of avoiding the drop.

"The game of football is unpredictable and you can never tell what is going to happen," said Lekgothoane yesterday.

He says playing two big teams away does not necessarily mean they will lose those matches.

"It is not about who we play, because we are all in the same league. We just need to go out there and work hard and anything is possible."

Aces played as if they were not in relegation trouble against Bloemfontein Celtic in Witbank on Saturday night.

The match ended in a goalless draw, earning them a priceless point.

AmaZayoni next face Chiefs at Loftus Stadium on Wednesday night.
