This follows their poor start to the campaign after they went down 13-26 to Stormers in a lacklustre encounter at Ellis Park Stadium on Saturday.

Coach Dick Muir is a worried man.

"Starting the campaign on a sour note, particularly at home, is quite disappointing. We want to play a game of high intensity and bring the culture of winning back in the team," Muir said. after the match

"We will keep rotating the squad to find a good combination after making a lot of transformation."

His counterpart Allister Coetzee eulogised his charges for absorbing pressure from the rampant Lions after leading 26-13 at the break.

It was a game of two halves with Stormers dominating one but conceding the other halt.

After a shaky start Lions came out spitting fire. They camped in Stormers' territory and fought gallantly to get points but the Stormers were equal to the task.

Scorers for Stormers: Joe Pietersen and Jaque Fourie (tries), Pieter-sen (two conversions and four penalties.

Lions: Micheal Killian (try), earl Rose ( a conversion and two penalties.
