SOCCER legend Cedric "Sugar Ray" Xulu is highly impressed with billionaire Mamelodi Sundowns president Patrice Motsepe's passion to develop the game.
This was after the mining mogul roped in former players to help develop the game at schools countrywide.
"We need business people like him who put the interests of the country first," said Xulu. "We are excited that we now have a platform to contribute. In the past schools were used to search for new talent by our clubs in the 1980s - be it in Soweto, Umlazi or Seshego.
"I fully agreed with Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe that we need to revive sports days on Wednesday. It's good that physical education is also back at our schools."
