PARK Village Auctions has announced its second truck and "yellow metal" sale of the year, and after a record turnout at the first sale this year this promises to be a "humdinger".

"As is now customary for these sales, the quality, genuine repossessed inventory has been provided by such institutional heavyweights as Standard Bank Vehicle and Asset Finance, Nedbank Limited, Absa Bank and Wesbank," PVA's operations manager LeRoy Augustyn says.

The inventory includes truck tractors, yellow metal equipment, trailers, freight carriers, tractors, LDVs and so on.

The sale takes place on Thursday, February 18, commencing at 10.30am at the Park Village Auctions truck yard (Nasrec Showgrounds, Rand Show Road, Johannesburg south).

Viewing is on February 17, from 10am to 4pm.

Ongoing demand for trucks and capital equipment is expected to generate an excellent turnout, says Augustyn.

The inventory includes Bell, JCB and Hyundai loaders, Skidsteer loaders, excavators, tipper trucks, Toyota, Dyna Freight carriers, Volvo, MAN, Freightliner, Scania , DAF, Mercedes- Benz, Nissan, International and Iveco truck tractors, Nissan Cabstar, UD and Hino freight carriers, TATA Novus trucks, Iveco freight carriers, New Holland tractors, Fuel Tanker Trailers, Henred flat deck trailers, Kearney trailers, Paramount Tri-axle trailers, Afrit side tipper links, Pantec Trailers, Coil trailers and so on .

Augustyn says the auction will provide an excellent opportunity for the likes of transport operators, construction companies, civil engineers and general business to acquire lots at good prices in what continues to be a buyer's market.

"The second-owner truck market is extremely buoyant for a variety of coinciding reasons, notably the fact that new prices continue to increase, placing ownership beyond the reach of many including numerous small to medium enterprises, as the composition of the market changes.

"Our most recent auctions produced a virtual sell-out of available lots and it was interesting to note that buyers included small entrepreneurs, fleet operators, and dealers, indicating to me that business conditions are improving," Augustyn says.
