RENEILWE "Yeye" Letsholonyane has been one of Kaizer Chiefs' better performers in the current campaign.

Despite a long injury layoff at the beginning of the season after a crunching tackle from Blaise Kiaku in the Vodacom Challenge, Yeye has forced his way back into the Chiefs midfield and has emerged as one of Bafana Bafana's key players. He took time out to talk to Sowetan.

Q: How old were you when you developed an interest in sport?

A: I was about six years old and I was playing for Kagisanong Masters FC in White City Jabavu, Soweto. I played with the likes of the late Moffat Mofoka. Though I wanted to be a chartered accountant I have always been passionate about football.

Q: Who did you support as a child and who were your heroes?

A: I supported Kaizer Chiefs. Ace Khuse and Doctor Khumalo were my heroes. It's a dream come true for me to work with these guys.

Q: What car do you drive?

A: A BMW 325i.

Q: If money were not an issue, which car would you be driving?

A: A Ferrari and a BMW M3.

Q: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

A: Spain. Though I have never been there, it looks like a very nice and interesting place.

Q: If you could choose between Nas and Jay-Z, who would it be?

A: Jay-Z. For me, he is the best rapper alive and makes incredible music that is out of this world.

Q: If you could invite five famous people over for dinner, who would they be?

A: Nelson Mandela, Zinedine Zidane, Julius Malema, Barack Obama and Ché Guevara.

Q: If you could bring a famous person back from the dead, who would it be?

A: Tupac Shakur. He would give Jay-Z some serious competition, which is badly missing in hip-hop at the moment.

Q: Who is your all-time favourite musician?

A: Tupac. He always made uplifting music and the thing I liked the most about him is that he lived the lifestyle he spoke about.

Q: What are your favourite songs?

A: Life Goes On and Hit 'Em Up.

Q: Who is your favourite actor?

A: Morgan Freeman.

Q: What is your favourite movie?

A: The Harry Potter movies.

Q: Have you got a celebrity crush?

A: Keri Hilson.

Q: What do you know about global warming?

A: Not much. I think it has something to do with the constant change in the climate.

Q: What do you do in your spare time?

A: I prefer staying at home with my girlfriend Lebo and our daughter Keneilwe.

Q: What are your favourite restaurants?

A: McDonalds and Nando's.

Q: Any embarrassing moments on or off the field?

A: We were playing against Lamontville Golden Arrows in the MTN8. I came on as a substitute in the first half, only to be taken off in the second. That was embarrassing.
