A 20-YEAR-OLD man has been stabbed to death, allegedly by a 16-year-old boy, during a fight over a cellphone.
Mpumalanga police Superintendent Malcolm Mokomene said the incident happened in KaBokweni near White River at about 2am yesterday.
He said the two had a heated argument over a cellphone and it turned into a physical fight.
"The teenager drew a knife and stabbed his victim once in the chest, killing him instantly.
"He then fled the scene on foot but a passer-by called the police," he said.
The suspect was arrested by police while walking in the street two hours later. - Sapa
