Memorial for radio man today

A MEMORIAL service for late Capricorn FM presenter Fanele Sibeko is scheduled to take place today .

Sibeko, 33, died in Polokwane on Saturday afternoon in a car accident in Hans van Rensburg Street.

Capricorn FM management announced yesterday that the memorial service will be held at the Cosmo Leisure Hall in Dalmada at 11am.

Sibeko was in the company of two women, one of whom was transferred to a hospital in Johannesburg. The other woman was treated in Polokwane and discharged the same day.

Superintendent Moatshe Ngoepe said police had opened an inquest docket and that their investigations were continuing.

Capricorn chief executive Simphiwe Mdlalose said Sibeko's funeral will be held on Saturday at 8am at Diepkloof Hall in Zone 1, Soweto.

Mdlalose said Sibeko will be buried at West Park Cemetery.
