RELEGATION-haunted Free State Stars have been warned not to expect any favours from Santos, whom they host in an Absa Premiership clash at Charles Mopeli Stadium in Namahadi today at 3.30pm.
The Capetonians have threatened to push Stars deeper into the mud as they battle to stay in the race for the championship.
The teams played to a 2-all draw in the first round.
Tshepo Motsoeneng, Santos's first-choice goalkeeper, said they were determined to embarrass Stars at home. He said spirits were high in their camp after the historic win over Ajax Cape Town in the Cape Town Soccer Festival.
"We have been training hard during the Africa Cup of Nations break, the plan is to maintain our winning rhythm to stay in the league title race," said Motsoeneng.
"Stars are a very good team with a great tactician in Gordon Igesund, but they must forget about even a single point. We are not running a charity organisation."
Stars striker Tebelo Mofokeng said they could not afford to lose at home.
"We are going all out for a win," he vowed. "We have to win at least two matches to ensure that we are guaranteed a place in the Premiership next season."
