2010 threat thug bust

ONE of the self-confessed criminals who threatened violence during the 2010 Fifa Soccer World Cup has been arrested.

The 36-year-old man, who was out on parole for robbery, has given police "valuable information" that will help in their investigation, Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa told the Pretoria Press Club yesterday.

The man is one of two thugs featured in a story aired on e.tv last Friday.

The men vowed to rob tourists and shoot to kill if in danger during the soccer tournament. Their faces were blacked out.

e.tv spokesperson Vasili Vass said they wouldnot comment on thearrest.
