The hearings couldn't have come at a better time since Eskom has become a spoilt brat who throws its toys out of the cot every time it wants its way. Its leadership should have seized the opportunity to come clean in an effort to rebuild public confidence. True to their contemptuous character, they have blown it.
They refuse to divulge crucial information without which the whole picture of the application will not emerge and it will be difficult for the public to make an input. Price increases will have far-reaching effects on every aspect of life.
