POLICE have arrested three men for allegedly kidnapping a Kempton Park schoolgirl.
Cindy Festile, 18, of Croydon, went missing on January 4 after reportedly arranging to meet an acquaintance who she had met through the popular social networking site Facebook.
The day she went missing, she spent the whole morning on the computer chatting with friends on Facebook.
Cindy was reunited with her family on Thursday, 10 days after she went missing.
Police managed to trace the teenager after she sent an SMS to her mother Theo Sambinda.
Sambinda said yesterday: "I'm so happy that she is back home. She is still traumatised.
"We took her to the doctor for a checkup. I'm so happy she is okay. "
She said her daughter would not return to school this week.
"I want to monitor her and make sure that she is fine before sending her back to school," said Sambinda.
Kempton Park police spokesperson Constable Tebogo Sesing said: "The men are in their early 30s. They were arrested in Randburg and have been charged with kidnapping.
"Investigations are still continuing, so we cannot reveal any more information."
