THIS is one show I think is good TV viewing.
It is a behind-the -scenes look at some of SA's celebrities and looks at their backgrounds and the paths they took to achieve success. These biographic stories make for riveting viewing.
Behind the Name is presented by Nikki Greenwall who has made an impression on "TVland" over the past few years; and she definitely got this one right.
In the past she has interviewed leading figures such as model Minki van der Westhuizen and journalist Bongani Madondo.
In last week's episode of Behind The Name actor and director Hakeem Kae-Kazim was interviewed to find out what makes him tick.
The show dug into the story of how his parents wanted him to be a doctor, but he decided on acting.
Kae-Kazim was born in London to Nigerian parents and the show traced the genesis of his acting career at the Royal Shakespeare Company before he came to South Africa.
His first job in South Africa was an appearance in a Fresca advert, which put him in the public eye. The film Hotel Rwanda put his name on the map internationally.
He now plies his trade in Los Angeles, where he is reportedly doing well.
Catch Behind the Name on e.TV on Wednesdays at 8pm.
