A keen soccerite

GEORGE Khalipile "Mjojana" Mahlangu, a keen soccerite and coach, has died.

GEORGE Khalipile "Mjojana" Mahlangu, a keen soccerite and coach, has died.

He played for Jabulani Black Dragons before moving on to coach the developmental Moroka Swallows Babes.

Mahlangu was born in April 1941 in Witbank (now eMalahleni). He began school at Lekoa Shandu in Vereeniging and completed his matric at Orlando High School.

He worked for Alexander Forbes for 25 years until his retirement in 2004. He was a staunch supporter of Kaizer Chiefs and a lover of choral music.

Mahlangu was married to Matseleng and they had five children.

He will be buried tomorrow at Lenasia Cemetery. The funeral service will be held at Good Shepherd Anglican Church in Tladi, Soweto, from 8am.
