Barca coach takes rap for 2-1 defeat by Sevilla

BARCELONA, Spain - Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola says he is to blame for his team's 2-1 loss to Sevilla in the Copa del Rey at Nou Camp.

BARCELONA, Spain - Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola says he is to blame for his team's 2-1 loss to Sevilla in the Copa del Rey at Nou Camp.

The coach said yesterday that "he messed up" with his team line-up and tactics for Tuesday's round of 16 first-leg game.

Guardiola used several squad members who have rarely played this season, such as Gabriel Milito, Thiago, Bojan Krkic and keeper Jose Manuel Pinto.

Another occasional first-team member, Dmytro Chigrinskiy, pulled down Diego Capel in the area to concede a penalty that led to Sevilla's winning goal. The return leg will be played next week.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho confirmed that Patrick Vieira has left the Serie A champions. Vieira is being tipped to join Manchester City. - Sapa-AP/AFP
