Korea arrived in Rustenburg yesterday where they were welcomed by mayor Matthew Wolmarans, who promised them a great stay in the area.
Wolmarans also thanked the 2002 World Cup joint hosts for choosing Rustenburg as a base camp for the World Cup.
"This is due to the perfect weather that the city offers," he said.
Wolmarans confirmed that their preparations for the World Cup are going according to plan.
"We are working closely with the North West provincial government and Royal Bafokeng in everything we do as part of our preparations."
Besides Zambia's Chipolopolo, Korea will also play friendlies against Absa Premiership campaigners Platinum Stars and First Division side Bay United.
Zambia are using Saturday's match to wrap up their preparations for the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations finals, which get under way in Angola on Sunday.
Korea will start training at Olympia Park today .
"We urge the people of Rustenburg and the North West at large to embrace the Korean football team during their stay in the city," Wolmarans said.
Led by captain Park Ji-Sung of Manchester United, the Taeguk Warriors are in Group B for the World Cup with Argentina, Nigeria and Greece.
Meanwhile, Zambia and Nigeria meet in an international friendly in Durban today at 4pm.
The two teams are using the friendly to sharpen themselves for the Afcon finals.
"We are excited to have secured a friendly game against one of the top teams in Africa in Nigeria," said Kalusha Bwalya, president of the Football Association of Zambia.
The Super Eagles' spokesperson and former goalkeeper Idah Peterside, who like Bwalya is based in Johannesburg, confirmed the match.
Some of the soccer stars who will feature in the game include Nwankwo Kanu and Obafemi Martins for Nigeria and Isaac Chansa and Collins Mbesuma for Zambia.
