Police spokesperson Captain Tony Modise said a teenager, 17, was arrested for attempted murder and rape after a man came across his sister being assaulted and raped.
The woman's brother was walking on Tyson Road in Galeshewe on Saturday when he saw a man running away from a spot in a park
"He saw another suspect raping the victim."
The brother immediately went to the aid of the victim, who turned out to be his sister who had sustained serious injuries to the head.
The woman was taken to hospital where she remains in serious but stable condition. - Sapa
