SOUTH Korea will play against two South African clubs as part of their final preparations for the 2010 Fifa World Cup finals.

The two local clubs are Absa Premiership outfit Platinum Stars and National First Division Inland Stream side Bay United.

Stars coach Steve Komphela and David Bright of Umlilo will use the games against Korea to keep their players in great shape during the January recess in the South African season because of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola.

Korea have lined up six games, starting with Chipolopolo of Zambia on January 9 at a venue still to be announced.

After their tour to South Africa, the 2002 World Cup semifinalists will then head to Malaga in Spain for a game against Finland on January 18.

Three days later, the Huh Jung-Moo-guided side will play Latvia and are negotiating for another match before the end of January.

For the World Cup, Korea are in Group D with Argentina, Nigeria and Greece.

l England will play Egypt in a friendly at Wembley Stadium on March 3 in coach Fabio Capello's final preparations for the World Cup.

l Spain's coach Vicente del Bosque has been given an extension that will keep him with the European champions until 2012, regardless of what happens at the World Cup.

l New Zealand will play Mexico on March 3 in the build-up to the Kiwis' first World Cup finals appearance since 1982.
