THERE will be no PowerBall draw on Christmas, National Lottery operator Gidani said yesterday.

Gidani spokesperson Thembi Tulwana said the next PowerBall draw would be on Tuesday December 29.

Normally the PowerBall draw takes place on Tuesday and Friday nights.

Tonight an estimated R21million will be up for grabs in the draw aired on SABC2 at 9.30pm.

But the Lotto draw will still be run on December 26.

PowerBall was launched on October 23 with a Limpopo man winning the first jackpot of R30million.

The same lucky man had won R11million in the Lotto back in 2002.
