South African captain Graeme Smith said the Proteas were enormously proud that the World Cup was to take place in South Africa.

"We all respect the enormity of 2010," he said on the eve of the final MTN one-day international against England at Kingsmead today.

"Hopefully we can get a game on here and it will be a doubly successful day for SA."

England captain Andrew Strauss said: "It's going to be a special event. I hope England get a good group." - Sapa
