TSHWANE socialite Robert Nong Mekwa, popularly known as Biro or Spatch, succumbed to a short illness on November 29.

The snazzy dresser had a great sense of humour. He was a very likeable character and could relate to people from all walks of life.

Born in Atteridgeville, Biro was in the liquor and soft drinks distribution business in and around Tshwane. He recently ventured into the clothing sector.

He is survived by his mother, a son and a daughter.

He will be buried tomorrow at the Kgabalatsane cemetery. The cortege will leave his home at 4755 Zone 4 Ga-Rankuwa at 7.30am. The service is at the University of Limpopo's Medunsa Hall from 8am to 10am.
