Tebeila in the running for top award

LIMPOPO'S own mining magnate, Tim Tebeila, has been nominated for the Businessman of the Year awards.

LIMPOPO'S own mining magnate, Tim Tebeila, has been nominated for the Businessman of the Year awards.

Tebeila was selected by Black Business Quarterly magazine as one of three businessman of the year finalists in this year's competition scheduled for tomorrow.

The awards will be held at Vodaworld in Midrand to acknowledge contributions made to communities by the finalists.

BBQ has led the way in honouring and celebrating black company leadership.

Tebeila, one of the successful black businessmen in Limpopo, told Sowetan he was looking forward to the awards.

He said if he won he would attribute the feat to hard work and his family's dedication in helping him to succeed.

"Many people tend to forget that hard work is only achievable through the support of our families," he said.

"It is for this reason that I would prefer to dedicate any achievement to the support of my family because without them I would not be where I am today."

Tebeila, 43, is chairperson of the Sekoko Mining Consortium and also serves on many boards of successful companies in the country.

Apart from mining Tebeila also owns a construction companies that does businesses in North West, Mpumalanga and Gauteng.
