Fetakgomo clean again

FOR the second year running, the Fetakgomo municipality in Sekhukhune has received a clean audit report.

FOR the second year running, the Fetakgomo municipality in Sekhukhune has received a clean audit report.

The auditor-general has declared that for the year ended June 2009 the municipality was able to account fully for allocations it had received.

The clean audit comes in the wake of national government's Operation Clean Audit.

Municipal spokesperson Rolihlahla Mmela said they were glad they had taken the lead with regards to fulfilling the objectives of Operation Clean Audit.

"We are happy to have received the second consecutive clean audit report, " said Mmela.

Last year Fetakgomo was voted the second best performing municipality in the Limpopo Vuna Awards.

"The community of Fetakgomo will take comfort in the fact that their municipality is being run by competent councillors and administrators," said Mmela.

Mayor Coleman Marota also expressed satisfaction at the turn of events.

"The announcement by the A-G goes a long way in indicating that we are working very hard to ensure the delivery of better services to our people irrespective of their poor backgrounds," he said.
