PAC leaders say they will suspend the organizers of last weekend's Cape Town PAC members convention, which called for PAC president Letlapa Mphahlele and other PAC leaders to step down.
The meeting of about 100 PAC members was reportedly supported by Robert Sobukwe's widow Victoria Sobukwe and former PAC presidents Stanley Mogoba and Motsoko Pheko.
The gathering accused the PAC's leadership of failing to "articulate the aspirations of the African majority".
But PAC security head and Eastern Cape chairperson Zwayi Nyhontso said: "It's time for the PAC leadership to put its foot down and discipline these elements who have been going unpunished."
