One-hand Mhlongo stops in two

This 2008 champion in the Baby Champs has chalked up seven stoppages since he joined trainers Benny Pailman, Peter Faver and Cliff Martins in their Westbury gym in Johannesburg.

His fight with Makgotsa was scheduled for six rounds but referee Wally Snowball stopped the brutality in the second.

Thompson Mokwana stopped Takalani Dandale in the third round, Kgotla Baeti did the same to Amos Nhlapho and Earl Strydom stopped Benjamin Wessels in two.

Their fights were presented by promoter Andre Kerr under the banner of Seconds Out Promotions at Wembley at the weekend.

Heavyweight white hopeful Johnny Muller outpointed Mongezi Ndzamela over four rounds. This was Muller's fifth win and his first fight to go the scheduled distance.

Marcel Japtha almost gave away the featherweight division six-rounder against Vus'Umuzi Manyoni but won by a narrow one-point margin, thanks to his early knockdown of Manyoni.
