Capricorn has cause to celebrate

IT IS all systems go for the second birthday celebration of Capricorn FM, Limpopo's only commercial radio station.

The festivities will be held at the Oscar Mpetha Stadium at the University of Limpopo on Saturday.

The station first went on air on November 26 2007 and attracted more than 1,5million listeners within its first 10 months of existence.

The station has also organised a golf event at the Polokwane golf course for Friday, where the presenters will challenge the station's top clients, who will also be star guests at a gala dinner.

On Saturday the station hosts a music fest, featuring Stimela, Jonas Gwangwa, Maduvha and other performers.

The station's chief executive Simphiwe Mdlalose said proudly: "We have only been in existence for two years and we have managed to achieve what seasoned stations have failed to do."
