AN URGENT court application to stop the Ukweshwama ritual, during which men kill bulls with their bare hands, was postponed to December 1 to allow King Goodwill Zwelithini and other respondents to file their papers.
Animal Rights Africa (ARA) went to the Pietermaritzburg high court yesterday to stop the ritual, arguing it was cruel. The ceremony is to take place on December 5 in Nongoma.
