KAIZER Motaung, Mato Madlala and John Comitis have been appointed by the PSL to head-hunt a new chief executive officer to replace outgoing Kjetil Siem, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

Chairperson Irvin Khoza said yesterday that the move is part of their succession plan.

"We want the appointed person to learn from Kjetil," he said. "The committee has asked the executive committee to be given more time to complete the process. We will hear from them in our next meeting on December 10."

The PSL wants a South African to take over from the Norwegi an. "We want that person now so that he or she can learn from Kjetil. We need someone with a broadcasting background and familiar with the new media technology and soccer environment."
