Cosmos take on inconsistent Arrows

JOMO Cosmos are in danger of going straight back to the First Division after only one season in the elite league.

JOMO Cosmos are in danger of going straight back to the First Division after only one season in the elite league.

Ezenkosi, fresh from a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Platinum Stars at the weekend, face a tough task against Lamontville Golden Arrows tonight at the Rand Stadium.

But anything can happen in this encounter because Arrows are inconsistent.

Cosmos have lost their past four matches and conceded eight goals in the process. They scored only two. From 16 matches they have played to date, they have won only once.

Midfielder Bamuza Sono said the players still believe they can save the team from relegation but he made it clear that Cosmos must start winning their matches soon.

"We can't lose games all the time. We only need one win to turn things around," he said yesterday.

Arrows lost their last game 3-1 to Moroka Swallows.

That defeat could have either motivated them or dampened their spirits. Time will tell.
