After a 3-2 home win against Maritzburg United, PSL Coach of the Year coach Gavin Hunt criticised his players for having had a cavalier attitude at certain patches during the match, which allowed Maritzburg to fight and score twice.

"It is fine with me if we keep scoring, but we also need to stop conceding soft goals," Hunt said. "The whole team worries me really. We can do better.

Celtic dribbling wizard Tlou "Shuffle" Segolela, on loan from Orlando Pirates, netted the only goal in the 86th minute

He was helped by a deflection from Stars' defender Jonathan Mensah, which wrong-footed the goalie.

It was a bad start for Ea Lla Koto coach Gordon Igesund, but he remained optimistic that Stars will finish the season in a respectable position.

"I'm disappointed with the result, we should have won the game. We missed the penalty and allowed them to score after we deflected the ball into our own net," said Igesund.

"The problem is that we gave them too much space. The second round of the season is on, so we have to start picking up points."

On the other hand, Celtic coach Owen "Rubber Doll" Da Gama was over the moon at the outcome of the match.

"It is a well deserved victory for the team, we all worked hard for it," he said. "I also want to thank the management for the confidence they've shown to all of us.

"We want to thank Siwelele (Celtic's supporters) for rallying behind the team. We will continue to work hard to make them proud to be associated with the team."

Sundowns' goal was netted by Lebohang "Cheese" Mokoena after a pass from league's leading scorer Katlego "Killer" Mphela.
