2010 fever grabs Limpopo legislature

POLITICIANS in Limpopo have decided to don Bafana jerseys instead of their sleek suites every Friday.

POLITICIANS in Limpopo have decided to don Bafana jerseys instead of their sleek suites every Friday.

This motion was endorsed by Premier Cassel Mathale on Friday during the launch of the "Football Friday" in Polokwane.

Mathale also urged other public servants and those working in the private sector to do likewise in order to promote the 2010 World Cup.

But the privilege was not extended to soldiers, health workers and police officers.

For those who do not have the Bafana Bafana jersey, Mathale urged them to wear football apparel of any national team that will be taking part in the tournament.

The move came as confirmation that Limpopo was ready to host the eagerly awaited soccer spectacle.
