TWO property developers were duped into making investments supposed to yield nearly R3million for each, the Bellville specialised commercial crime court heard yesterday.

Constantia developer Charles van der Weijde told the court yesterday he and business partner Lukas Engelbrecht were approached after leaving a Christian breakfast meeting six years ago.

Businessman Nolke Roelevink advised them to invest in the company Exclusive Access Trading 81. The company was at the time in the process of obtaining 20percent shares in the company A Million Up Investment 105, they were told.

Roelevink told them he had a property development that was a "very good deal" and they met to discuss the matter.

He has pleaded not guilty on two counts of fraud, involving R667000. - Sapa
