Two women found killed in Rustenburg

NORTH West police are looking for families of two women found killed in Rustenburg.

Police found the body of a woman, believed to be in her 20s, burnt beyond recognition at Poana Section in Groondal on October 23.

Police spokesperson Superintendent Lesego Metsi said yesterday: "It is suspected that she was killed before being set alight."

He appealed to anyone with information to contact Detective Inspector Karel Khumalo on 082-773-0590 or the nearest police station.

The second body was discovered on Fraser Alexander Road behind Anglo Platinum Bleskop Hospital.

"A passerby found the decomposed body of the woman, believed to be in her 30s, on October 18. She is dark in complexion and was wearing a gold bra," Metsi said.

Anyone with information can contact Detective Constable Nelson Qetya at 082-772-8054 or the nearest police station.

Meanwhile police are looking for Phillip Mateus Sithole, a key witness in a murder case relating to the January 12 2008 killing at Rustenburg taxi rank.

Sithole, 23, is believed to be somewhere in Majakaneng or Letlhabile in Brits.
