SOUTH Africa's Got Talent, the show that has caught the imagination of frustrated local artists, is coming to an end.
Today marks the culmination of a search for one star among 3000 hopefuls. Between Monday and today, 21 finalists have been going through their paces to prove they deserve the title of most talented South African and the R250000 prize at stake.
Two artists were chosen from 21 finalists in the past three days and they will compete for the grand prize tomorrow.
The show, aired on SABC2 between 7.30pm and 8.30pm, had an hour interlude in which the public was invited to vote. It then resumed at 9.30pm until 10pm for the results.
Would-be artists, who ranged from age six to 82, included singers, dancers, magicians and a ventriloquist with a dinosaur called Tra.
The most talented person will walk away with R250000 while the other 21 console themselves with mouth-watering chocolates . The rest will benefit from their on-screen exposure .
Faced with the arduous task of choosing a winner are judges Shado Twala, Randall Abrahams and Ian Von Memerty.
