ISAAC "Golden Boy" Chilemba has dumped trainer Colin Nathan and joined Elias Tshabalala.
The deal was signed on Friday and this was confirmed by Jody Solomons, who manages the blossoming career of Chilemba.
"There are no hard feelings between us and Colin. Isaac will now fight internationally, so we needed someone with better ideas," she said.
Chilemba, 22, is the current World Boxing Council (WBC) International and African Boxing Union (ABU) light heavyweight champion.
"Colin is a good trainer but it goes with knowing and understating each other. That did not happen between us," Chilemba said.
Chilemba, from Malawi, will still be promoted by Rodney Berman of Golden Gloves Promotion.
He turned professional in South Africa under Nick Durandt in 2005. Together they have chalked 13 wins against one defeat.
The Malawian went on to win the ABU belt in the super middleweight division. He then left Durandt for Nathan in March.
Nathan guided him to a point-win over David Kitooke and also assisted him to win both the WBC International and ABU light heavyweight title belts two weeks ago.
"I am very upset," said Nathan. "I feel I've been used. I don't want to go into details about it. Good luck to everyone."
Other fighters that have bolted Nathan's stable are controversial Jared Lovett, Grant Fourie, Jackson Chauke and Owethu Mbira.
Lovett is with Harold Volbrecht, Fourie with his father Louis Fourie and Chauke and Mbira are said to be with Manny Fernandez.
