WHEN everybody thought Kaizer Chiefs were dead and buried against Mpumalanga Black Aces at Puma Rugby Stadium in Witbank last night, Knowledge Musona struck.

WHEN everybody thought Kaizer Chiefs were dead and buried against Mpumalanga Black Aces at Puma Rugby Stadium in Witbank last night, Knowledge Musona struck.

The teenage Zimbabwean forward is fast proving to be Chiefs most potent weapon. Last night Musona proved this with another bristling display and two magnificent goals.

His and Chiefs second Chiefs was a lifeline after Aces had stormed to a 3-1 lead.

Chiefs proved that the game of football is not over until the final whistle.

AmaZayoni were the first to draw blood through Esau Mtshweni in the 12th minute. But their joy was short-lived when the impressive Musona struck the leveller with a powerful 12-yard shot two minutes later.

Aces continued to surge forward, firing from all cylinders and they managed to regain their lead through Clifford Mulenga with a left-footed effort after a pass from Lehumo Itshegetseng in the 29th.

The hosts extended their lead through Mpho "Zico" Maleka with a right-footed shot from the right side of the penalty area after he was put through by Mulenga six minutes from the break.

While Aces continued to show poise, Chiefs also took their chances at goal.

They looked a threatening lot and it did not come as a surprise when Musona completed his brace in the 54th minute.

The visitors grabbed a point on the stroke of full-time through Siphiwe Tshabalala who struck in a beautiful free kick. Chiefs were awarded the free kick after Musona was rough tackled by Shere Lekgothoane.
