A minute of silence was observed last night for the late Moroka Swallows midfielder Joseph Rapelego. And if those who have moved on to the other side can see us, the "Manelo" would have been disappointed with the Birds' display.
Swallows suffered a 1-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns, thanks to a Katlego "Killer" Mphela goal at this Dobsonville Stadium clash.
The on-form Mphela had said on Tuesday that he would like to score against Swallows and his wish came true when he netted his 11th goal of the season last night.
The Brits-born striker has been in blistering form this season and he was not going to let up against a poor Swallows side that hardly troubled the Sundowns defence.
Mphela received a pass from Captain Esrom Nyandoro and shot past Swallows keeper Geg Etafia to score the Brazillians solitary goal on the 35th minute.
In all fairness, Downs deserved the win as they were a much better side than their hosts who seemed to have run out of ideas.
