KWAZULU-NATAL health officials yesterday sounded the all clear assuring the province that there was no danger of a measles outbreak.
The department said it currently had 21 cases of confirmed measles reported from the 11 districts in the province.
"There is no alarm. We are proceeding with our general awareness campaigns at schools, clinics and hospitals and informing locals what to do in case of problems," said department spokesperson Chris Maxon.
