Elite fleet has super offers

AUCOR is revving up for its next "supercar" auction tomorrow, offering a wide selection of luxury and exotic cars.

AUCOR is revving up for its next "supercar" auction tomorrow, offering a wide selection of luxury and exotic cars.

"Previous supercar auctions have shown that there is strong supply and demand, and this auction promises to also be exciting," Aucor's managing director Shannon Winterstein says.

"We've obtained a number of highly desirable cars and it's the ideal opportunity for buyers interested in acquiring outstanding vehicles that would otherwise have been beyond their reach."

Topping the list are four Aston Martins, a 2008 DB9 Cabriolet and a 2008 Vantage Roadster.

A 2007 Bentley Flying Spur with only 10000km on the clock should whip up interest - as will a number of BMWs, including a 2008 M3, a 2007 M5 and low-mileage 2008 X5 3.0D.

There are four Ferraris, notably a 1999 355 and a 2007 599 F1 - and a large variety of top-notch Mercedes-Benz models that includes a 2009 C63 AMG, a 2007 CL63 AMG and a 2007 CLK63 AMG Black Series. Added to that is a 2007 E63 AMG and 2009 ML63 AMG facelift.

There are three Porsches on offer - two of them a 2006 Carrera 4S Tiptronic and 2007 Cayman S Tiptronic. Buyers can also choose from Range Rovers, Land Rovers and a 2007 VW Golf GTI R32.

"The cherry on the top is the most unusual offering we've had in a long time - a 2008 Lexus RX400 Hybrid. We've never before auctioned one of these cars so it will be interesting to see how the bidding proceeds," says Winterstein.

He says previous supercar auctions attracted a high number of registered buyers, and expects this one to be no different.

"The vehicles are in excellent condition and many have very low mileage, so bidders will have the chance to negotiate bargain prices for their dream cars."

The auction takes place at Aucor Midrand at 12.30pm. Viewing takes place tomorrowor today from 9am.
