It is true, we can do with more motivational stories, given recent world events.
Most South Africans who are overseas (like me) always revert to the news to keep us up to date with events at home. Good news enables us to sleep well.
I remember following this year's elections. The media really did a wonderful job. We couldn't stop talking about how wonderful our country is and how people should buy tickets for the 2010 World Cup.
Well, just a reminder to the editor: when reviewing articles remember that not only young readers want more good news, but also South Africans abroad who might be inspired to return home to share their skills and experiences.
