THE first winner of South Africa's newest game, PowerBall, has yet to claim his or her fortune.
The winning numbers were 38, 20, 15, 36, 12 and the Powerball was 6.
Today the second PowerBall draw will go live on SABC2 at 9.30pm with a guaranteed jackpot of R10 million up for grabs.
The first winner, who played the correct numbers in the country's first PowerBall jackpot draw on Friday night, won R30million.
"We can confirm that we had a jackpot winner who played in Limpopo, but he or she has not claimed the money," said Gidani spokesperson Thembi Tulwana yesterday.
Tulwana said Limpopo has had 10 millionaires since Gidani took over as National Lottery operator in October 2007.
The first PowerBall game was broadcast on television in a glamorous show on Friday night.
Gidani chairperson Bongani Khumalo said the draw proved to South Africans that the game was winnable.
PowerBall joins Wina Manje, SportStake and Lotto, becoming the fourth game operated by Gidani.
Tickets are available at all Lotto outlets and cost at least R3,50.
The coupon has two grids. The first has 45 numbers and the second one has 20.
Players have to choose five numbers from the first grid and one number, which is the PowerBall, from the second.
PowerBall has eight prize divisions with odds being one in 24 million.
It was designed to lure higher income bracket players who only play the Lotto when the stakes are high.
But with stakes likely to go up to R100 million, PowerBall is expected to be the most exciting of all the Lotto games.
