Tropika contest in the spotlight

A SIZABLE number of Jozi celebs and journalists descended on the island of Zanzibar to witness, add colour to or report on the recording of a reality show.

A SIZABLE number of Jozi celebs and journalists descended on the island of Zanzibar to witness, add colour to or report on the recording of a reality show.

Known as Tropika Island of Treasures, the show, which partners 10 celebrities with 10 contestants that have made it to the final round of the Tropika competition, will see the winner walk away with R1million at the end.

Meanwhile, the first episode of the show goes on the air, on e.tv on Sunday at 6.30pm.

The five male and five female contestants are partnered by an equal number of male and female celebrities.

During the week, they are taken through a number of challenges.
