MOROKA Swallows CEO Leon Prins says after their disappointing away defeat to AmaZulu a fortnight ago, they are working hard to turn the club's fortunes around.
Maritzburg United will test their progress at Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday. Swallows have been making news for all the wrong reasons recently and a win will go a long way to convincing their fans that there is still hope.
Swallows captain Lefa Tsutsulupa said: "We have to win on Sunday, it does not matter how we get it because the most important thing at the moment is for us to get the three points. Results at this point are far more important than playing attractive football. We have been playing well, except against AmaZulu where we played dismally."
He appealed to fans for maximum support.
United's vice-captain, Fadlu Davids, said despite their heavy defeat at the hands of Mamelodi Sundowns, they are looking forward to meeting Swallows.
"The spirit is fantastic in the camp despite what happened against Sundowns.
"That was a once-off and it will never happen again," he said.
"Swallows have been very inconsistent lately and we have to take advantage of their vulnerability.
"Getting a draw there would be good, and a win would be a bonus."
Kickoff is at 3.30pm.
