Don't ban, but regulate labour-broking firms

By unknown | Oct 16, 2009 | COMMENTS [ 0 ]

I WORK for a labour-broking firm. We help people find work, whatever their skin colour, who they are or where they come from.

We are guided by the Main Agreement that states how much employees must earn and when increments are due. We get only a management fee.

Workers are affiliated to unions and get what is due to them. We've never encountered strike action.

So where is "human trafficking" there?

If people have complaints or grievances we help. Abolishing labour broking will increase unemployment because people in high places will place their relatives. Maybe that's what Cosatu wants.

Regulate the industry.
