ANGRY residents of Nkowankowa, outside Tzaneen in Limpopo, have vowed to help the police track down the killers of the husband of a committed community worker.

Since the incident, hundreds of people have joined the police in their hunt for the killers.

This is after the husband of Dikeledi Mmetle, a member of the ANC regional working committee and of the regional executive council, was fatally shot several times by unknown assailants.

Malesela Alfred Ramohlola had just parked his wife's 4x4 Nissan bakkie in the garage when he was attacked by four armed men.

He was shot several times and his attackers fled with the Nissan bakkie.

Limpopo police spokesperson Inspector Ronnel Otto said Ramohlola died on the way to hospital.

Otto added that the police were investigating a case of murder and urged everyone with information to call the nearest police station.
