THE dialogue between Zimbabwe and the European Union is encouraging, Department of International Relations and Cooperation's director general Ayanda Ntsaluba said yesterday.
"The tone of President Robert Mugabe . towards the West was encouraging," Ntsaluba told reporters in Pretoria at a briefing on international developments.
He said South Africa was watching developments in Zimbabwe and the commitment made by political parties to its inclusive government.
"We know that there are differences regarding the attorney general and governor of the Reserve Bank ... we hope this will be resolved."
The MDC claimed Mugabe had flouted their power-sharing agreement by appointing Johannes Tomana as attorney-general and Gideon Gono as Reserve Bank governor without any consultation. - Sapa
