TODAY is World Teachers' Day - a commemorative time to honour the dedicated men and women who nurture kings, queens, champions, whizz-kids and other achievers, writes Victor Mecoamere.

TODAY is World Teachers' Day - a commemorative time to honour the dedicated men and women who nurture kings, queens, champions, whizz-kids and other achievers, writes Victor Mecoamere.

Teachers are the ultimate nation builders because they are form the backbone of communities worldwide.

More than 100 countries will mark World Teachers' Day with various public awareness activities, highlighting the importance of the profession.

It will also encourage the youth to consider following careers in teaching.
