SA Communist Party leader and Minister of High Education Blade Nzimande will attend the funeral of Mandulini Mabhida in Pietermaritzburg tomorrow.
Mabhida, 85, who died last Saturday, was the wife of the late SACP secretary Moses Mabhida.
Mabhida will be buried at Ethembeni Cemetery after a funeral service to be held at Mbali sports ground at 8am.
SACP spokesperson Malesela Maleka said Mabhida was one of the "unsung heroines who shaped the revolution".
