Butterfly life cycle

CATERPILLARS emerge from butterflies' eggs. They eat for a while and then form a hard chrysalis.

CATERPILLARS emerge from butterflies' eggs. They eat for a while and then form a hard chrysalis.

Inside this chrysalis, the caterpillar's body begins to change, or metamorphosise. After some time a butterfly emerges from the chrysalis and the cycle begins again.
