When our people genuinely protested against poor service delivery, Tokyo Sexwale blamed Mbeki and SACP boss Blade Nzimande blamed a "third force". Blaming the former president contradicts Zuma who has said that under Mbeki, the country laid the foundation for sound economic fundamentals.
Cosatu has suggested nationalising the food sector, including production, manufacturing and distribution. It wants state- owned enterprises to mill and bake bread. How stupid that it wants game farms and gold estates expropriated and restored for agricultural use.
Nationalisation is not a practical policy of the ANC since 1994. Such left-wing rhetoric is evoked to camouflage weaknesses in the Zuma administration. Unfortunately this rhetoric gets a lot of media publicity.
Mbeki must be congratulated for not responding . When last has the SACP attacked those who own means of production? The left must concentrate on corruption, consumerism, maladministration and nepotism.
