SOUTH African Football Association chief executive Raymond Hack insisted last night that Safa will not give embattled Bafana Bafana coach Joel Santana the boot.
"Santana has a contract that expires after the 2010 World Cup and why should we talk about his expulsion now?" Hack said.
He insisted that today's meeting with Santana has nothing to do with the Brazilian's future.
"This is a normal procedure where we expect a technical report after a match. It has nothing to do with anybody's future. I can't assume that you will be fired if your bosses at the Sowetan meet you."
But our source at the national controlling body emphasised that Safa was likely to make changes to the Bafana technical staff.
"They might decide not to terminate Santana's contract, but they are strongly considering beefing up the technical staff. Santana needs help and the sooner he swallows his pride and asks for help, the better," said the source.
